Description : “I lost my game even I had bishop pair”, “This must be easy draw since opposite colored bishops are on the board”, “I t must have been bad position for my opponent since his king was in center” “I did not want to play it, it leads to symmetry and I would not have good winning chances” - I am sure that most of you heard similar statements on chess tournaments. In game every player is accessing position and making decisions based on rules and presumptions he knows. However, in complex game making decision just by following common presumptions can be wrong direction. Therefore, main goal of this training camp is to learn young players how to deal with these premises, how to correctly evaluate and how to be creative in such positions. Lesson 1: Bishop pair in openings & middlegames Lesson 2: Bishop pair in endgames Lesson 3: How to evaluate and play positions with opposite colored bishops Lesson 4: Be creative – Play with King in center! Lesson 5: Symmetrical pawn structures – easy way to equality or chance to get initiative?
